Locations: The newly opened Kolonada Hotel came into being after the Otava and Patria hotels had been rebuilt and united. All Karlovy Vary sights and mineral springs are situated within walking distance of it.
The predecessor and the basis of the Otava Hotel was the Golden Lion Inn which was first mentioned in 1802.
It was the very first inn-hotel in Karlovy Bary with several rooms, a dining hall, stables and a carriage-shed. The hotel was rebuilt several times and it also changed its name, e.g. a part ot if was called William the Prussian (1838), Hotel de Russie (1850), the Hanika Hotel, In the 50s the htoel got the name Otava.
The imposing Paradies Inn dating from 1820 and the Morgenstern House, which was gradually built in the 30s of the last century, were connected both architecturally and technically after World War II, and the hotel got a single name Patria.
From 1989 to 1991 the Patria Hotel was completely rebuilt - the original Morgenstern House was pulled down and replaced by a new building, while the Paradies Hotel was renovated. In 1997 the Partia Hotel hes become a part of the Kolonada Hotel.
The balneological department is situated on the ground floor of the spa hotel.
